Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6/01/2026
Last updated: 6/01/2026

1. Introduction

Quiñonez Law Firm, PLLC ("the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of visitors to our website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through quinonezlawfirm.com, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

This policy applies to information collected through this website. It does not govern information the Firm receives while representing a client. Information you provide once an attorney-client relationship exists is protected by attorney-client privilege and by the confidentiality obligations imposed under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and the New Mexico Rules of Professional Conduct. Those obligations are considerably broader than the protections described here.

2. Before you contact us

Submitting a form on this website, emailing us, or messaging us on social media does not create an attorney-client relationship. Until we have agreed in writing to represent you, what you send us is not protected by attorney-client privilege.

Please tell us only enough to know how to reach you and what kind of matter you have. Do not send confidential details, documents, or time-sensitive information through this website. Once we have spoken and established a relationship, we will gather the rest through a secure channel.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

Our contact forms collect your first and last name, telephone number, email address, and a description of your legal matter. You may also reach us by telephone, by email, or through our Instagram and Facebook accounts, in which case we receive whatever information you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

This website is built on the Wix platform. Wix Analytics collects standard visitor information on our behalf, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location

  • Browser type, device type, and operating system

  • Pages viewed, time spent on the site, and the site or search that referred you

  • Date and time of your visit

We use this information in aggregate to understand how the site is used and where visitors come from. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

What we do not do

We do not run advertising or tracking pixels on this website. We do not operate a Meta, Google Ads, or TikTok pixel here. We do not use targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We also do not request Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or medical records through this website. Please do not submit that information through our forms.

Cookies

This website uses cookies necessary for the site to function and cookies set by Wix Analytics to measure site usage. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

4. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and assess whether we may be able to help

  • Run a conflict-of-interest check before discussing your matter in detail

  • Contact you about your inquiry by telephone, email, or text message

  • Operate and improve the website

  • Meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations

Text messages

If you provide a telephone number, we may contact you by text message about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us during any conversation. We use text messages only to respond to and follow up on inquiries you initiate. We do not send marketing texts and we do not text people who have not contacted us first.

We do not add website inquiries to any marketing list or newsletter.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Wix.com, Inc., which hosts this website and provides the form and inbox tools we use. Wix processes this information on our behalf and under its own privacy terms.

  • Where required by law, court order, subpoena, or our professional obligations.

  • With your permission, in any other circumstance.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. How long we keep information

Inquiries from people who do not become clients are retained for approximately one year and then deleted. Records relating to matters where the Firm was engaged are kept in accordance with our file retention practices and the requirements of the Texas and New Mexico rules governing client files.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information submitted through this website, and we rely on the security measures Wix provides as our platform. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is one reason we ask you not to send confidential details through our forms before we have established a relationship.

8. Your rights

Texas residents

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents may have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, obtain a copy of it, correct inaccuracies, and request that it be deleted. Because we do not sell personal data, engage in targeted advertising, or conduct profiling, the opt-out rights relating to those activities do not apply to this website.

If we decline a request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response, and you may contact the Texas Attorney General if you are not satisfied with the outcome of the appeal.

New Mexico residents

New Mexico has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. We extend the same request process to all visitors regardless of where they live.

Making a request

Email carlos@quinonezlawfirm.com or call (915) 533-0009. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party sites

This website links to third-party services, including our Instagram and Facebook pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms. Their own policies govern any information you provide to them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
